Take me to somewhere I have never been before

Where nature reigns supreme

Where the imprints of footprints fade to dust

Every night when the clock strikes thirteen

 

Take me to somewhere where I can be free

From the trappings we have set for ourselves

Lurking in the unconscious undergrowth

Catching hold of our feet in snares

 

The noose of the stories we have woven

Tightens ever further around my neck

My chest constricts, my thoughts cease

 

Inhale

Exhale

Inhale

Release.
